Amazon hosted press event Thursday morning in Santa Monica, where it has announced new Kindle Fire7-inch and 9-inch tables along with a new backlit e-ink Kindle. Perhaps the most shocking developments were the agressive pricing of $199 and $299 for the new Fire tablets, and a special $499 model with a very affordable 4G LTE data plan.
